Short answer: Yes, Crowdtap is legit. I earned my first payout ($5 gift card) after 3 days.

It’s easy to use, and so far seems like a solid option for earning side cash.

Its key advantage over something like Swagbucks is that you don’t get kicked out/disqualified halfway through a survey.

If that’s all the info you needed, here’s a referral code for 100 points ($.50) to get you started.

If you’d like a little more info, keep reading!

Is Crowdtap Easy to Use?

Crowdtap is very easy to use. The dashboard lays out the surveys, along with the points earned for completing them.

Plus, when you open a survey and complete it, the next survey in your list will seamlessly popup. It makes it easy to complete all of the surveys in your dashboard.

Crowdtap has the occasional “attention check — do not select this answer”. They’re few and far between though.

What Info does Crowdtap Need for an Account?

To sign up for Crowdtap, you need to share your name, birthday, email (this is where they send gift card codes to), city & state, ZIP code, and phone number (they’ll text you a confirmation code).

If you want more surveys, you can fill out additional info in your profile including:

  • Street address
  • Race & Ethnicity
  • Education & Employment
  • Income and Size of Household
  • Number of children

Whether or not you fill out these fields depends on your level of comfort with sharing this data. Note: You can’t pick and choose what you share, it’s all or nothing.

What can Crowdtap points be redeemed for?

You can redeem crowdtap points for gift cards or put it towards streaming services.

You can get gift cards for 31 different companies, including:

  • Amazon
  • Target
  • Apple
  • Airbnb
  • Dunkin
  • Sephora

The list goes on. Most of the brands let you redeem for a minimum of 1,000 points ($5).

You can also put your points to the mainstream subscription services, like Hulu, Netflix, and more.

Once you want to cash in your points, go to the “Redeem” page and select what you want. It’ll take 2–3 days to email you the gift card code.

What is Crowdtap’s payment structure?

On crowdtap, 1000 points ($5) is the minimum payout for most gift cards. With the 100 point promo code (awarded immediately on sign up), you get a decent head start.

What are CrowdTap’s Survey’s Like?

Surveys pay out at 3 points at a minimum. If the survey is longer, you’ll get more points. The most I’ve seen is 65 points.

Even the longer surveys are pretty quick (~ 1 minute). Even if you don’t finish it, it will be saved to your “In Progress” section.

Surveys run one after the other. Once you complete one, the next available survey pops up, which makes it really easy to breeze through them.

Is Crowdtap Safe/Trustworthy?

Crowdtap’s address is a P.O. Box in New York. A P.O. Box is always a little sketchy, but enough people said it’s legit on Reddit, so I signed up.

That said, if you’re not into businesses having a ton of data on you, you should probably not sign up.

They only need basic info to start, but as you answer the surveys, you’re giving out a lot of info about how you shop, general demographic data (age, household income, etc.) — assuming you answer truthfully.
